Seventh and Eighth Grade are all about raising the bar of expectations to ensure that every Grace Christian Academy graduate is ready for high school. The class is self-contained with all subjects taught by one homeroom teacher, following a two-year curriculum that ensures mastery and growth of each subject by the time the student has completed 8th grade. Small class sizes ensure personal attention as students are challenged to produce high quality projects in literature, math, art, science, speech, social studies, and other subject areas. Students are expected to work hard but help is readily available to support students who need the extra time and attention to grasp each lesson or assignment.
What sets our 7th/8th Grade classroom apart:
LEARNING GOD’S TRUTH: Religious-based curriculum is incorporated across all subjects
HIGH STANDARDS: Students are challenged to become hard working, responsible, and in charge of their own learning in order to better prepare them for high school
FAMILY ATMOSPHERE: Strong sense of family and community in the classroom as students bond through sports, extra-curriculars, fundraisers, and class trips
EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING: Social studies lessons are brought to life through an annual class trip to either Atlanta, Georgia or Washington, D.C.
